Growing and bringing a baby into this world is pure magic and women are divine creators of life.  Join Doula Danielle Morris and Herbalist & Mama Christiane Wurmstedt as we support and celebrate the woman's journey through the extraordinary Childbearing Year. Conception: Natural Fertility & Pre-natal Care

Thursday October 26th, 7:00-9:00pm
Oftentimes, conception starts before the literal sperm meets the egg. We may have sudden hormonal desires to have a baby, or naturally make positive lifestyle changes such as reducing alcohol intake or taking our sleep more seriously as we start to ponder the possibility of creating a new life inside us. Whatever ways our bodies are sending us signals, this class will go over herbs and lifestyle considerations to promote fertility, what symptoms and possible issues to expect during the different trimesters and possible solutions to enhance and ease the transition.

The Passage: Natural Birth Support & Practices

Thursday, November 2nd, 7:00-9:00pm
The big event! In this class, we will talk about some issues that can arise at the end of pregnancy, what to expect during birth and techniques and herbs you can use to bring on and maintain a healthy labor.

New Motherhood: Postpartum Time

Thursday, November 9th, 7:00-9:00pm
The term, "fourth trimester," is being utilized more and more to describe the postpartum period and help us collectively re-shape our expectations and perception of the time afterbirth. It implies that the new baby and mama need at least 3 months of bonding, rest and healing. In the past, our culture has been very focused on the birth but in truth, mamas and families also need just as much support if not more during the postpartum time as they adapt to this huge change! In this class, we will talk in depth about what to expect during the postpartum time as well as techniques and herbal suggestions to facilitate healing and to be able to find the support your growing family needs.

Astrology for Debutants

6 week Beginner Astrology Series
Wednesdays, starting May 24th, 7:00-9:00pm
Taught by Sarah Murray

Astrology is the oldest symbol system known to humanity. For millennia it was used in association with the noble sciences of medicine, alchemy, and meteorology, and was indistinguishable from astronomy, until certain political and religious leaders decided it was not to be used by the common people. They ridiculed the use of it in public, while secretly continuing to use it privately, and many of them still use it today. That alone indicates what a powerful tool it is!

Astrology for Debutants is a 6-week program that will teach you the basics of astrology, as well as how to interpret your own chart and understand how it reflects your character and personality. 5 Consecutive Thursdays, starting March 16th, 7:00-9:00pm
Fee: $180; includes binder with information, recipes, menu & more!
Traditions all over the world (such as Lent) mark the Spring-time as the ideal time to do a fast of some sort, allowing the body to recuperate and eliminate the build-up of toxins resulting from heavy foods eaten over the winter months and holiday season. The Post-Mardi Gras cleanse, based on the principles of Ayurvedic medicine (the oldest known system of health care, from the Sanskrit “ayu” – big, and “veda” - life), is a gentle but thorough way to prepare ourselves for the Spring and Summer months ahead. It is tailored to specific individual needs, based on your dosha or character, and lifestyle.

We will meet five times over the course of one month. You will be provided with binders full of information about Ayurvedic medicine and its principles, a guide to the foods to use or avoid, menus, recipes and more. We will learn some basics about Ayurvedic medicine, and use a tool to determine your predominant dosha. Every week we will have the opportunity to share our experiences with the cleanse, trouble shoot if necessary, and find loving support to help us on our journey.

Week 1: Pre-cleanse

Thursday, March 16th, 7:00-9:00pm
This week is dedicated to preparing our bodies, minds and emotions for the journey ahead. We eliminate substances and foods such as caffeine, sugar, red meat, artificial additives, soda, alcohol (including wine), industrially prepared foods, etc.

Week 2: The Cleanse

Thursday, March 23rd, 7:00-9:00pm
The true cleanse begins. Eating whole grains (excluding wheat), vegetables and fruits (no nuts or oils), our elimination phase kicks in. This is also the phase where ghee (clarified butter) is used according to a specific protocol to eliminate the toxins from the fat cells.

Week 3: Deepening the Cleanse

Thursday, March 30th, 7:00-9:00pm
During this week, we have the option to continue the pre-cleanse phase or the cleanse phase, or to deepen the cleanse by adopting a juice diet, or a mono-diet of some sort. The juice phase can be done for 1-3 days, possibly longer, according to your dosha.

Week 4: Rebuilding phase

Thursday, April 6th, 7:00-9:00pm
By re-introducing certain foods eliminated during the cleansing phases, we are slowly rebuilding our diet back to the pre-cleanse phase.

Week 5: Transition phase

Thursday, March 13th, 7:00-9:00pm
We are now free to create the diet that best suits our individual needs, knowing that the pre-cleanse diet is an excellent model for a long-term, nutrition-packed way of eating.

In order for all participants to learn at a similar pace and to limit time spent on review, we encourage people to commit to the whole series.

This will be achieved through the use of plant medicines that share the same astrological frequency. When we ingest these celestial plant bodies we start to grow that energy within. We start to breath life into that form and initiate an experiential dance with the archetype.
